Prospective Students - How does DegreeAngel help?

Many of you have asked exactly how DegreeAngel helps and what the application process is. This post is a general description of what to expect. But please note cases will vary from person to person as everyone is considered an individual:
1. You will register with N40,000 to show commitment and level of
seriousness. We will assess your long-term goals and financial status (from now until 28th May 2009 NYSC corp members currently serving can enjoy a heavily discounted registration fee of N10,000 - must have proof you are currently serving).
2. We will give you a list of the institutions we represent and
outline the ones we will give you scholarships for if you apply to.
3. We will advise you on the best university choices to make based
on your goals and finances.
3. We will process your application and forward it to the
universities of your choice (3 at a time) until you get an offer or
continue sending applications if your initial attempts are
unsuccessful . We may advise on ways to help improve your application
i.e. gaining more skills and experiences
4. If you get an offer we stop the application process and will
advise on scholarships, bursaries and loans if required, to cover
maintenance fees, tuition fees and travel costs.
5. Once your finances are in order we will give you guidelines for
applying for visa (i.e. supporting documents needed) and go through
your visa application form before you submit. In extreme cases we may
ask you to get professional legal advise - especially in appeals.
6. Once you get your visa we will give you travelling advice
i.e. booking tickets, restrictions, prohibitions, what to do before you travel, after
you arrive etc.
7. Once you arrive you are entitled to one free meeting with us if
you can book a meeting in our regional offices (currently only in
London), where we will discuss your progress but you have unlimited
access to our helplines for advise at anytime. This may include work
applications and networking opportunities.

DegreeAngel UK is planning a trip to Nigeria from the end of April to end of May 2009 and will be able to provide personal face to face consultations at this time if you are registered. Please stay tuned to this blog for updates on our new website and future events.
